PNM – Successfully being part of RailwayTech 2023, in 2024 Madiun State Polytechnic (PNM) will not be absent from participating. To be precise, on July 30 – August 1 2024, PNM will again present hybrid train technology at an exhibition organized by the Indonesian Railway Society (MASKA) at Hall D2 Jiexpo Kemayoran, Jakarta.
Railway Study Study Lecturer and exhibition coordinator, R. Akbar Nur Apriyanto, S.Tr.T., M.Tr.T., said that there was no specific difference other than the number of exhibitors at RailwayTech 2023 and 2024. "Only more exhibitors were invited so the event was busier," he explained.
Furthermore, Akbar explained that RailwayTech Indonesia provides a platform for railway industry players to meet, share information and explore business opportunities. This exhibition aims to introduce the latest technology, innovation and solutions in the railway sector, as well as support the development and modernization of railway infrastructure in Indonesia.
Not only that, this exhibition also aims to increase collaboration between local and international companies, government and various other stakeholders in the railway industry.
"RailwayTech Indonesia 2024 is also attended by local and international railway industry companies, manufacturers and suppliers of railway technology and equipment, government and related institutions, consultants and construction service providers, academics and researchers, and other stakeholders in the railway industry." Call Akbar.
Akbar explained that PNM's goal in participating in this exhibition was to answer the challenges of transformation because vocational education is one of the hopes in realizing a Golden Indonesia 2045. Vocational campuses are also required to bring education closer to the business world, the industrial world and the world of work.
At this rail transportation solutions exhibition, PNM is again presenting hybrid train technology. Hybrid train technology is a technology that combines electric and diesel power. This train is designed to increase energy efficiency and reduce exhaust emissions so that it is more environmentally friendly.
"It is hoped that this technology can be an alternative solution for rail transportation in Indonesia, especially in areas that are not yet fully covered by the electricity network." Akbar said.
PNM's hybrid train technology received a warm welcome from visitors. The PNM booth was also never empty at this international exhibition, with both domestic and international visitors from various fields who seemed enthusiastic about filling the PNM booth.
"Many visitors stopped by the PNM booth, including the Directorate General of Railways and staff, the Acting Mayor of Madiun, teaching staff from several overseas and domestic campuses, practitioners from the industrial world, representatives of SMA/SMK/MA teachers and students, and others." Akbar explained.
It didn't stop there, the visitors were interested in collaborating further with PNM. "The visitors were very enthusiastic about collaborating and working together with the Madiun State Polytechnic." he added.
In closing, Akbar hopes that through this exhibition Madiun State Polytechnic can be better known in the world of business, industry and the world of work, and that registration of prospective new students for next year will also increase. *(Public Relations Team/PIP PNM)
