The Madiun State Polytechnic Research and Community Service Center (P3M-PNM) is the implementing element tasked with coordinating, monitoring, evaluating, developing and improving the quality of implementation of research and community service activities organized by lecturers and students.

  2. Increasing the ability of lecturers in research and community service activities at the national level.

  4. Increased research activities oriented towards appropriate technology.
  5. Increased use of research results to develop learning processes.
  6. Increasing the number of students involved in research and community service activities.
  7. Dissemination of research results and community service by stakeholders
  8. Developing an information system resulting from research and community service
  9. Formation of academic and entrepreneurial culture among the PNM academic community.

Main Duties and Functions of P3M

The Center for Research and Community Service, Madiun State Polytechnic (P3M-PNM) has the following main tasks and functions:

  1. Determine the direction of research and community service;
  2. Coordinate scientific, technological and/or artistic research;
  3. Coordinating research to develop conceptions of national, regional and/or regional development through collaboration between universities and/or other bodies,
  4. Carrying out activities to disseminate research results through scientific publications;
  5. Coordinate the application of scientific, technological and/or artistic research results;
  6. Coordinate the implementation of community service to develop national, regional and/or regional development concepts through collaboration between universities and/or other bodies
  7. Carry out inventory and data collection of all research and community service activities;
  8. Bringing together researchers in clusters or across scientific disciplines;
  9. Coordinating with the Department to ensure the relevance of Research and Community Service activities with educational activities;
  10. Controlling the administration of necessary resources;

Head

  1. Fully responsible to the Director regarding the management and development of Research and Community Service (LITABMAS) in accordance with central and academic senate policies
  2. Carry out the P3M Work Program according to DITLITABMAS guidelines and PNM Strategic Plan
  3. Develop, plan, develop and control P3M facilities and resources
  4. Develop work programs in the field of research and community service in line with the development of science and technology
  5. Coordinate, select, control and evaluate LITABMAS activities that will, are being and have been carried out by researchers/implementers
  6. Coordinate LITABMAS activities with the center, departments and other relevant sections/UPT
  7. Lead regular meetings
  8. Develop LITABMAS management
  9. Publicize and disseminate information to the academic community about the P3M program
  10. Dividing tasks, giving instructions and assessing the work of administrative staff/operators

TARGETS, STRATEGIC PROGRAMS AND PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

Strategic Goals

  1. Based on the targets described above, namely:
  2. Increased PNM research and PkM activities.
  3. Increasing the number of research and PkM involving students.
  4. Increased research results that are integrated and used to develop the learning process
  5. Increasing the competence of lecturers in research activities with national and international reputation.
  6. Increasing the quality of applied research in product and service development and oriented towards obtaining Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
  7. Increasing the quality of research and PkM which is oriented towards building an academic and entrepreneurial culture in the PNM academic community.
  8. Increasing research and PkM collaboration partners
  9. Implementation of dissemination of research results and PkM
  10. The strategic targets above emphasize the implementation of various developments in research and PkM implementation policies that accommodate and cover the implementation of research and PkM programs in the period 2020 to 2024.

Policy
Based on the strategic targets above, policies were developed that cover the implementation of research and PkM. The development of research and PkM policies is directed at fulfilling the quality targets of research and PkM activities which can be inventoried as follows:

  1. Increasing the quantity and quality of research that is beneficial for industry, society and the development of science and technology
  2. Competency development and increased motivation of academics to take part in research grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture
  3. Increase in the quantity of scientific publications
  4. Increasing academic community motivation for scientific publications
  5. Increasing the capacity and competence of academics for scientific publications in international journals or international proceedings
  6. Increasing the quantity and quality of community service that is beneficial for the general and productive community groups
  7. Capacity development and increased motivation of academics to participate in community service grants from the Ministry of Education and Culture
  8. Implementation of IPR-oriented research and community service obligations that continue with IPR registration
  9. Increasing the motivation and capacity of academics to conduct research and community service that is IPR-oriented and lecturers' knowledge of IPR applications
  10. Strengthening research results and community service that is output-based and leads to downstream and market introduction
  11. Strengthening strategic cooperation with industrial partners and developing mutually beneficial cooperation networks with various parties
